Role Overview
Our client is the technology leader in the opt-in advertising space. We believe in solving problems with technology and have been building and innovating non-stop for 13 years. Software Developers are responsible for work on all of our applications. Project sizes are typically a day or two, but can range from one hour to six months.

Primary Responsibilities
Development
Backend coding for projects of all sizes (mostly Java)
Write SQL queries / statements
Integrate third party applications / libraries
Research and resolve application bugs
Testing
Take ownership of issues from specs to post-release
Required Skills and Personal Qualities
2+ years working knowledge of J2EE development in a web-based environment
Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
2+ years experience working with Java / Tomcat / Oracle / Linux or similar stack
Experience building scalable, high-performance applications with MVC frameworks such as Struts / Stripes / Spring
Experience implementing software solutions that utilize web services and XML
A strong desire to learn and embrace new technologies
A penchant for writing clean, concise, minimalist code
Sense of humor
Other Desired Skills and Personal Qualities
Experience coding in JavaScript
